Getting ready for a 2016 trip to the Puckasaw Depot

I recently finished your fine book. Beautifully written, and immensely interesting! Thank you so much for sending it to us. I thoroughly enjoy Canadian history, and your engrossing writing certainly brings the Depot to life.

I very much enjoyed reading The Puckasaw Diaries, my favourite Christmas present this year. It’s the first book I’ve read a second time immediately upon finishing. Thanks for all your efforts in getting this history recorded for others to enjoy.Rich Greenwood    Sault Ste Marie, Ontario

Wow Ruth what a book. I’ve read it once but there is so much to take in that I can see there will be quite a few repeat reads.Bridget Roberts     Wiltshire, England

I have started reading and am enjoying it. I'm sure as soon as I get them cataloged they will be read by many of our patrons. It is great when we get some new local history in our libraryJan Ramage       White River Public Library

  1. I have finally found the time to sit on the deck in the whining autumn days, to drink a glass of wine and devour The Puckasaw Diaries. Once I began there was no retreating. No book has brought me to tears the way Ruth's words have. I am completely spell bound. Bravo to you Ruth, my friend. I have always felt sheepish about the love I feel for this part of the world but I now know I'm not alone.
It has always been my habit to leave a favourite book in an airport when I am travelling. I am leaving for Tuscany Italy on September 17th. I hope to leave your previous writings at the airport in Piza, so that others can breathe in Lake Superior via your story. Thank you Ruth <3 big kisses to you and Ward, but especially Ward,. :-)

  3. waning, it's me that's whining that summer will soon be over. Haha

    1. Hi Colleen,
Thanks so much for the kind words---and hey my book heads to Pisa! How much fun is that!
Have a terrific time on the other side of the ocean and yes I will pass your comments onto Ward too.
      Ciao for now--Ruth
